Our story begins with over 40 years of hands-on experience in fast-ferry operations across the Hauraki Gulf in New Zealand. Many will recognise the long-standing brand we come from: Fullers360, New Zealand’s largest fast-ferry operator, which spans across both public transport and tourism experiences.
For years, our focus was on delivering world-class fast-ferry services for both commuters and visitors. Then, in 2018, we embarked on our decarbonisation journey, exploring new technologies from around the world. Over the years, we carefully researched and invested in innovative solutions that would enable us, as an operator, to reduce emissions on the water without compromising our busy network.
Fast forward to today, and we’re thrilled to see our vision of a zero-emission future for the Hauraki Gulf becoming a reality. Our specialised team at NetZero Maritime is now taking this vision global, helping our partners achieve their own net-zero targets.
Here in Auckland, we’re delivering five electric-hybrid vessels alongside our partners, with the first expected to be operational in 2025. We’ve also introduced Auckland’s first electric hydrofoiling vessel, the Vessev VS-9, which began commercial services in 2025.
We’re on the brink of a once-in-a-generation shift in the maritime industry, and we’re incredibly proud to play a pivotal role in ushering in a new era of sustainable transport solutions. Our top priority is reducing emissions, but what truly motivates us is knowing that the work we’re doing today will transform the way of life for the communities that will benefit from a decarbonised transport environment for years to come.
